I did not ask for this feature, I didn't even intentionally update my pc and while I am glad that I seem to have successfully uninstalled it, I am infuriated that it was installed without my knowledge nor consent. Generative AI is technology I personally believe to be genuinely evil and not something I would interact with willingly under any circumstances. Knowing that this feature is irremovable in win11 is the final excuse I need never to install it. If any Microsoft exec cares please burn down all of your AI infrastructure and reassign all those staff, it is a waste of money, talent, time and human energy. Please do not re-install Copilot in the next update, please.

I don't use the OneDrive app or Copilot, and no one has required that I use either one.

2024-11-13T02:23:56+00:00 The key difference is that with most of your examples, one can uninstall them and they will not be reinstalled. Not so with Copilot.

2024-11-13T08:11:30+00:00 That does not answer the original question which was why is Copilot suddenly popping up on our PCs. Fair enough it is a new feature, but surely we need to call it up - not just let it pop up randomly. By the way, your response also read a little patronising.
