I did not ask for this feature, I didn't even intentionally update my pc and while I am glad that I seem to have successfully uninstalled it, I am infuriated that it was installed without my knowledge nor consent. Generative AI is technology I personally believe to be genuinely evil and not something I would interact with willingly under any circumstances. Knowing that this feature is irremovable in win11 is the final excuse I need never to install it. If any Microsoft exec cares please burn down all of your AI infrastructure and reassign all those staff, it is a waste of money, talent, time and human energy. Please do not re-install Copilot in the next update, please.

The problem is AI should never be, even as a part of windows be added to a system. If people want to use it, it should be available as an extra that they take action to implement. It has the possibility of being exploited just sitting there as you say.

I mean, I do use Copilot quite often, but the fact that it just, installed, without notifying me or asking permission, still makes me uneasy...
The scariest search queries for Chat GPT users is asking it, "What do you know about me?" and the responses are terrifying.
Uh, yeah... like it came up with my full name, age, address, family, friends, and even previous locations I have visited... are we being watched? ❔🤨🙄
Today, Dec 6, 2024, Copilot was auto installed on my computer. Not impresssed
