I did not ask for this feature, I didn't even intentionally update my pc and while I am glad that I seem to have successfully uninstalled it, I am infuriated that it was installed without my knowledge nor consent. Generative AI is technology I personally believe to be genuinely evil and not something I would interact with willingly under any circumstances. Knowing that this feature is irremovable in win11 is the final excuse I need never to install it. If any Microsoft exec cares please burn down all of your AI infrastructure and reassign all those staff, it is a waste of money, talent, time and human energy. Please do not re-install Copilot in the next update, please.

You are trying to put a spin on it by saying "it's not an addition, it's Windows" That is just semantics and you know it. You might as well have saved your energy and our anger by simply saying that it was it was put there whether we asked for it or not. That would have been more honest.

Read the EULA and then decide what your agreed to when you got your license.
That requires a certain level of expertise to do. Many lesser skilled users would not know how to do this, or even that there might be a choice.
Don't you think it would be better if Microsoft was just upfront about its intentions prior to installation, so users can make informed decisions BEFORE anything gets installed, rather than this backward approach Microsoft favours?
It being pinned to my task bar and AUTORUN as a service on startup it IS forcing one to use it
Would you like me to show you have to unpin something from the taskbar, and how to disable autorun? It's really easy, and doesn't require any tinkering in the registry.
