Cannot update to 24H2 because of partition error

Hello, I really need help with performing the update to Windows 11 24H2 update.

I have tried to search for update in Windows Update multiple times, and yet it keepts telling me I'm on the latest update. There are nothing in the optional section either. This is despite the fact my build version is 21H2, which is very old now.

I have tried downloading the Windows Update Assistant, but that was to no avail because every time it keepts telling me "we couldn't update the system reserved partition". I have 95 free gbs on my OS:C and so I have no idea what is causing this. I tried deleting temporary files, using the CMD and create a Y drive then deleting fonts through it, labelling the product file to .old and even tried a set of command to restart registries. The Update Assistant or the ISO version, both returned with the same message.

I have grown quite desperate now since I realized Windows never even offered to update me to 22H2 and 23H2. All the tutorials on Youtube all pointed to the MS guide to deleting the fonts. I ran out of options, and I can't contact any agents because the system keep telling me my account was logged in too many times.

    Hi Ramesh

    So I did everything according to your instructions, but now I have another issue. I dont know whether it has been discussed but I honestly cant find a solution apart from resetting my pc. I ran the commands from the website that you pasted a link:https://www.winhelponline.com/blog/0xc1900201-windows-feature-update/

    and this is the problem that I got is I get the same message every time my pc starts or restarts. I think another user had the same problem. Here is a link to the image:

    md C:\Lenovo\BIOS

    What do I do now with the to C:\CAP moved RVMTL357.cap file? Put it back into Y:\ ? Delete it all together?

    And do you advise me to run any diagnostics, after me tweaking all sorts of options to get 24H2 installed before youhelped me getting it done?

    Hi Nico,

    You can leave it that way. No need to put it back into the EFI partition unless want to restore the older BIOS. Let the file remain in C:\CAP in case you need it in the future.

    Dear Ramesh,

    Looking at all your posts, you seem the best qualified person to help me with the same problem a lot of other people have run into while trying to install Windows 11 24H2 trough Windows Update. Like everyone else, my, brandnew mind you, Asus NUC 14 Pro+ 16GB DDR5 512GB won't install the update because of insufficient diskspace. Or, more specific, it says "we couldn't update the system reserved partition"

    I've tried everything mentioned on the support pages, started with deleting the fontfiles as mentioned everywhere, and I eventualy even tried a clean factory OS reset deleting all my files from the machine itself. All with no solution to the problem that stops any change to the OS (H223) I have running now.

    Starting all over again trying to repair, I took a look in the dir.txt created after removing all the fontfiles from Y:\EFI\Microsoft\Boot\Fonts. It showed that of the 100.403.305 bytes in this partition, 87.825.513 are used by 303 files, leaving only 12.577.792 bytes free. Can it be that i simply have to remove more files? If so, which ones, and how? I'm not proficient in command prompt code (or even English) so please be as complete in your reply as you can be.
