Windows 11 2024 update begins rolling out today

Starting today, the Windows 11, version 24H2 update begins to roll out to Windows 11 customers. This update includes new features like Energy Saver designed to extend battery life and reduce energy use, even when your device is plugged in.

We are thrilled to announce :

  • Improved Hearing Aid support with Bluetooth LE Audio, with new capabilities to control audio presets, ambient sounds and experience enhancements.
  • We are also introducing Wi-Fi 7 compatibility, offering unprecedented connectivity speed, reliability and efficiency.
  • Windows 11, version 24H2 also offers HDR background support.
  • We have also made significant improvements to the taskbar and system tray,
  • File Explorer and Settings to make it even easier and more intuitive to do the things you want on your Windows PC.

    You use it as secondary drive. Users who complained use it as main OS drive, including me.
    RAID mode is disabled.

    My Dell XPS 9570 has an i7-8750H CPU and 32GB DDR4, The discrete graphics is a GTX 1050 Ti Max Q. WD SN580 2TB SSD.

    Machine has spewed all manor of BSOD but testing everything has taught me to avoid QLC NAND which trashes too fast installing Windows almost daily

    Problems only surfaced about 9 months ago. Every manor of BSOD imaginable.

    My Lenovo P52 has the same CPU but it has 64GB RAM and P1000 graphics. Same BSOD headaches. KingSpec MX 2TB.

    I have traced problems to Dell Support Assistant which seems desperately needing updating. Lenovo seems fine.

    8th Gen Intel are well inside the foul line for Windows 11 but QA testing seems a tad off the mark

    Curiously My Lenovo T14 which is 10th gen Intel seems to be relatively stable

    Hi Sumit

         Just now downloaded the New Windows 11 24H2 upgrade using the Windows Assist Tool and I have ***NO*** Problems to report. The installation went as smooth as silk. I have a New Great Grandbaby recently added to the family so that's the reason I haven't been on the forums lately. But I'm happy to report that I'm Back and hope to see you all again on the boards.
