Windows 11 2024 update begins rolling out today

Starting today, the Windows 11, version 24H2 update begins to roll out to Windows 11 customers. This update includes new features like Energy Saver designed to extend battery life and reduce energy use, even when your device is plugged in.

We are thrilled to announce :

  • Improved Hearing Aid support with Bluetooth LE Audio, with new capabilities to control audio presets, ambient sounds and experience enhancements.
  • We are also introducing Wi-Fi 7 compatibility, offering unprecedented connectivity speed, reliability and efficiency.
  • Windows 11, version 24H2 also offers HDR background support.
  • We have also made significant improvements to the taskbar and system tray,
  • File Explorer and Settings to make it even easier and more intuitive to do the things you want on your Windows PC.

    How refreshing to have someone write something positive & enthusiastic about 24H2. No question it has heaps of great features & mods. I have been with 24H2 since October 2nd and it is, indeed, terrific.

    I swear it has improved overall performance & definitely is less resource demanding.

    Sadly, there are some "Known Issues", but fortunately none that apply to me nor my machine.

    October 1st 24H2 began a phased release via WU. 1st-hand, I can vouch for the fact that not all Users or devices receive it immediately nor simultaneously. It might show up sometime over a period of possibly several weeks... and that's barring any delays or pauses. Hard to say how long an individual may wait.

    One can, however, use WUA/MCT. It is always up to the minute. I used that Oct. 2nd; couldn't be bothered waiting.

    As for "Known Issues", they are very specific, certain criteria, software/hardware. There are 10, is all. Obviously, none applied to my machine. Check your gear 1st, of course. Here they are 👇
