Windows 11 2024 update begins rolling out today

Starting today, the Windows 11, version 24H2 update begins to roll out to Windows 11 customers. This update includes new features like Energy Saver designed to extend battery life and reduce energy use, even when your device is plugged in.

We are thrilled to announce :

  • Improved Hearing Aid support with Bluetooth LE Audio, with new capabilities to control audio presets, ambient sounds and experience enhancements.
  • We are also introducing Wi-Fi 7 compatibility, offering unprecedented connectivity speed, reliability and efficiency.
  • Windows 11, version 24H2 also offers HDR background support.
  • We have also made significant improvements to the taskbar and system tray,
  • File Explorer and Settings to make it even easier and more intuitive to do the things you want on your Windows PC.

      you are correct my friend. The upgrade is most definitely being release in waves. that's the reason I used the Windows Assist Tool from the download page to do my upgrade. Hopefully others will try it.

      It's good to see you again my friend, It's been awhile

  I've made NO changes in my bios or anyplace else on my two year old system, I did have to run the PC Health Checker again and it came up with NO problems and after that I just let the Windows Assist tool do the upgrade.

    Well, well, well, 👀 who's back 😃👍👍 I have been noticing your absence, but CONGRATS on the new grandchild 👏

    Same here, used WUA, easy update process and 24H2 humming along nicely.

    Not sure why I saw someone asking about bios changes before going to 24H2 🤷‍♂️

    An opinion:

    There is this 👇 (preferred), instead of winver. Taken from Settings/System/About
