"Show taskbar buttons on: All Taskbars" setting keeps resetting on sleep

I have 2 monitors, and I want to keep my full taskbar persistently-visible on both of them. This was working fine until about a week ago. Now, it behaves as though "Main taskbar and taskbar where window is open" is selected even though "All taskbars" is still selected, until I toggle the setting myself.

My workaround is manually setting it to "Main taskbar and taskbar where window is open," then back to "All taskbars." This fixes the issue until the next time my PC sleeps.

I have tried resetting my PC and I have tried SFC /scannow as an admin in case of settings file corruption. Neither have resolved the issue.

Taskbar Settings

Lock the taskbar | ON

Automatically hide the taskbar in desktop mode | OFF

Automatically hide the taskbar in tablet mode | OFF

Use small taskbar buttons | OFF

Use Peek to preview the desktop when you move your mouse to the Show desktop button at the end of the taskbar | OFF

Replace Command Prompt with Windows PowerShell in the menu when I right-click the start button or press Windows key+X | ON

Show badges on taskbar buttons | ON

Taskbar location on screen | Bottom

Combine taskbar buttons | Always, hide labels

MULTIPLE DISPLAYS

Show taskbar on all displays | ON

Show taskbar buttons on | All taskbars

Combine buttons on other taskbars | Always, hide labels

    For me (and others), turning back on the News and Interest button in the taskbar solved this.

    I forgot to mention this, but my News and Interests has been active this whole time. I did try turning it off and on as well, but it still doesn't work properly.

    I changed my cable for my main monitor from HDMI to Displayport to just a standard Displayport cable and the issue seems to have resolved. Edit: No it hasn't.

    I've been having the exact same issue for the past several weeks now and have also not found a solution yet, only the temporary one of swapping the "show taskbar buttons on" option to a different one and then back to 'all taskbars'.

    I'd also like to note, it doesn't require me to have my pc go to sleep or whatever, it also happens if I simply turn off my main monitor (connected through DisplayPort) and back on again.

    It then swaps it to the option of 'main taskbar and taskbar where window is open', just not visually (settings still says it's on 'all taskbars' and the registry also states this.), however it's also a bit bugged at that, because while 'main taskbar and taskbar where window is open' is selected it also removes the icon from the taskbar when the specified window is closed / moved to the other monitor, it does *not* do this when it's in the bugged 'all taskbars' mode.

    It keeps them on the taskbar after I've moved a window over to the second monitor, even after closing said window or moving it back, so it somehow still noticed that it should stay there, just doesn't show all of them at once.

    +1, also having this issue

    i think at this point with the fact that turning on news and interests fixes this issue as well all the testimonies given on this thread that this is a microsoft issue and not related to any outside software or hardware
