"Show taskbar buttons on: All Taskbars" setting keeps resetting on sleep

These are the only options I've found that can temporarily correct it, no other Taskbar Settings seemed to make a difference:

• Toggling "Show taskbar on all displays" off and on
• Switching the selection under "Multiple Displays > Show taskbar buttons on" and switching it back
• Restarting Windows Explorer (or restarting the computer, which would also do this)

Each of these will bring icons back to all my displays, but then if a display is connected, it resets and hides my task icons again on secondary displays.

Can you also confirm another option that temporarily fixes it:

Have a window open of a program connected to the taskbar and while it's open unpin and re-pin it to the taskbar. For some reason that's another option that works for me.

Wanted to note that this also works for me, although its obviously not a fix. May assist in troubleshooting.

All of the icons that should be displayed appear instantly after I unpin one of the windows displayed on the affected monitor.

1. Try updating the AMD chipset drivers for your processor https://www.amd.com/en/support/downloads/drivers.html/processors/ryzen/ryzen-3000-series/amd-ryzen-7-3700x.html
2. Also, try flashing the the latest BIOS version to your motherboard. Might need an external USB drive for this.

You're right, my mistake! About 1 more year of support. Still, having rollback instructions in the thread is good for folks who want to go that route.

Who knows if or when they'll ever prioritize fixing this - it's been months. I'm joining the tin foil hat gang that think they added or are leaving this bug in to punish us for not buying the newer version we don't want. :)

I read online that Windows 10 support ended as of 10/14, so I suspect we won't be getting a fix.

I believe support ends that date next year, no?

As regular community support staff, we do not have a dedicated physical environment/internal channel to communicate directly with the developers of the product.

If you do wish to restore your device to a relatively early version, usually a system restore or uninstalling an update are common options.

To open System Restore, Use the keyboard shortcut Windows +R, type rstrui.exe and press Enter.

• In the Restore system files and settings box, select Next
• Select the restore point that you want to use in the list of results. If you don’t see the restore point that you want to use, select the Show more restore points check box to see more restore points.
• Optionally, select Scan for affected programs.
• Once you find the proper restore point, select Next > Finish.
• After the restore point is applied, Windows restarts automatically.

To uninstall an update,

• In the Settings app on your Windows device, select Windows Update> Update history> Uninstall updates.
• On the list that appears, select update you want to remove, and then select Uninstall.
• In Windows 10, you can access fromUpdate & Security> Windows Update>​​​​​​​ View your update history> Uninstall updates.
• **Note:**Some updates cannot be uninstalled.

If the device no longer offers these options, or does not have a restore point associated with it or an update that can be uninstalled, unfortunately performing a clean install of Windows using an earlier version of the Windows system image will be the only option for reverting to an earlier state.

• Generally, you can start by verifying the system version you need on a separate disk. Custom or clean install  At this point, we have exhausted all troubleshooting and I recommend that we try to perform a clean install to get your computer back into a working condition.
