Can anyone advise me how to stop the 'Proxy settings per user' in the Registry under 'Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings' from returning to Zero everytime I reboot the PC when I want it to stay set at 1. I am not an expert on PC but can sort things out if I'm given clear instructions. I am running the latest up to date version of Windows 10. Many thanks in advance.

Hi John,
I checked the logs and found that the ProxySettingsPerUser registry value remains at 1 during the boot process. So, some program you're running after the login is switching the value data to 0.
How often does the value change to 0? It's not happening during the boot process for sure.
Everytime I reboot the machine
We may be able to narrow down the problem by clean booting the system. A clean boot is the process of starting Windows without loading third-party apps and services. Please see this Microsoft article for more information.

Hi again Ramesh, did all that was instructed (twice) but still with the same outcom that it reverts from 1 (as set by me) back to zero!!
That's strange. Maybe we can try another ProcMon trace. But this time, after enabling the boot trace and rebooting, don't open ProcMon immediately. Instead, wait until ProxySettingPerUser reverts to 0. Then, open ProcMon and save the boot trace.
