Click "Select a principal".
Add "Everyone".
Expand special permissions and enable "Set value" (and perhaps "Delete"). Uncheck all other boxes.
Click OK, OK, OK to close all dialogs.
Restart Windows.

Can anyone advise me how to stop the 'Proxy settings per user' in the Registry under 'Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings' from returning to Zero everytime I reboot the PC when I want it to stay set at 1. I am not an expert on PC but can sort things out if I'm given clear instructions. I am running the latest up to date version of Windows 10. Many thanks in advance.

Set the proxy registry key to 1. Then do the following:
From admin Command Prompt, run:
auditpol /set /subcategory:"Registry" /success:enableThen open Regedit.exe and go to:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings]
Right-click "Internet Settings" → Permissions
Click Advanced.
Select "Auditing"
Click "Add"
Add "Everyone".
Expand special permissions and enable "Set value" (and perhaps "Delete"). Uncheck all other boxes.
Click OK, OK, OK to close all dialogs.
Restart Windows.
Let me know once the above steps are done.

2024-10-02T16:53:46+00:00 Ramesh, have tried once more and I still only get the one file which I have zipped and put onto One Drive. I have checked all instructions and followed them carefully but with the same result.

2024-10-02T16:41:24+00:00 Ramesh, have done clean boot and then rebooted again to test 1 - 0 with the same result that is goes back to 0 after the computer has run for about 30 - 60 seconds. Have deleted the Procom and reinstalled it but I still only get a single copy of the Bootleg.pml and not a copy of the Bootleg_1 as before so I am at a loss. will give it one more try after sending this but cannot see anything obvious I have not done.
