Can anyone advise me how to stop the 'Proxy settings per user' in the Registry under 'Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings' from returning to Zero everytime I reboot the PC when I want it to stay set at 1. I am not an expert on PC but can sort things out if I'm given clear instructions. I am running the latest up to date version of Windows 10. Many thanks in advance.

2024-10-01T13:03:09+00:00 Think I have done all that sucessfully and have finished up with two zip files which I have put into One drive. However, I have never shared a file from there and I do not have an email or anything to put in to tell it who to share to! Perhaps you can help there please?

Simply follow the steps under the paragraph "Gather boot log files". Ignore other parts of that article.
It's a simple procedure actually.
In short:
- Enable boot logging in Process Monitor.
- Restart Windows.
- Reopen Process Monitor and save the PML boot log when prompted.
- Zip the PML log and share it on OneDrive.

I have downloaded the program and then carried out the instructions as far as Figure 3 and then I'm into unchartered territory! as below where do I find this file/folder that has saved, how long does it need to run etc. Idiots guide would be most apprectiated, sorry but I did say I was no Expert!!

You can run a ProcMon boot trace to see which process is changing the registry value. Please see "Gather boot log files" in this ESET article.
