new messenger opens links in EDGE instead of default browser.

Hi

I just made the asked the messenger update, and now all external links opens up in EDGE instead of my default browser. And I see no option to set it back.

    Probably Facebook will shut off the back end server, then you'll be done. The bottom line is Firefox could support whatever mechanism is used in Chrome, but despite getting $600 million a year from Google, they prefer to spend it on diversity nonsense rather than a working browser.

    The new update now just opens a link to the messenger through Edge by force. To get this open through Chrome, do this ...

    1. Open chrome
    2. Go to messenger.com -- login if needed
    3. Click 3 dots on upper right
    4. Look for Cast, save, and share
    5. Click Install page as app

    Done!

    This is so frustrating. Microsoft is literally choking us with their products, we want it or no, we need to use their garbage products. I never seen tech company as aggresive as Microsoft. These scumbags should be sued for their behavior. If not video games I would be long gone on Linux. Games are the only reason I use these scumbags OS. Got I hate them so much with my full passion... So basically messenger now is "Edge" webview app and links will open in a god damn "Edge" even though I don't use that garbage browser and my default browser is Chrome. God, I HATE YOU MICROSOFT!!! MAY YOU ROT IN BANKRUPTCY AND HELL!!!

    It should be noted that what you download in Chrome is not just Messenger but the full Facebook app. So when you open it, it goes to the main Facebook page, not to Messenger.
