Hello,

My PC crashed frequently due to a faulty memory stick. When I used a new memory stick, the problem didn't occurred anymore. Unfortunately, the crash also occurred during the windows update after the in-place upgrade. Until now, I have been unable to download and install two important updates -- the latest cumulative update and the update from August. (Two error codes (0x80070643 and 0x800f0805) appeared alternately)

I just tried Windows update troubleshooter and get a diagnosis --

WaaSMedicService

Issue found by :WinRETargetingPlugin

Problem with BITS service : The requested service has already been started. More help is available by typing NET HELPMSG 2182

    Unfortunately, I'm unable to get the latest chipset drivers , device drivers and bios .etc, my PC is too old, the official Manufacturer site no longer provides them for downloading.

    Could you please tell me how to get the them? What should I do if I'm unable to get them?

    It can be challenging to install 22H2 on legacy systems with older BIOS.

    Please use Driver Store Explorer to uninstall unused and obsolete driver packages. Before deleting the drive packages, export them using these commands from an admin Command Prompt.

    md c:\drivers

    dism /online /export-driver /destination:c:\drivers

    Re-run the setup and share fresh logs.

    I didn't find any latest chipset drivers and device drivers in official Manufacturer site.

    Unfortunately, the log doesn't mention the reason for the error code. Please try the following:

    1. See if there is a BIOS update for your device (Aspire M1860). The current BIOS is old. 
                                  Manufacturer: Acer 

                            Model : Aspire M1860 

                            BIOS name : BIOS Date: **12/08/11** 17:24:15 Ver: 04.06.04 

                            BIOS version : P01-A4                  

                            BIOS release date : 20111208000000.000000+000
    2. Install the latest chipset drivers and device drivers.
    3. Use Driver Store Explorer to uninstall unused and obsolete driver packages.
    4. Re-run the setup and share the latest logs.

    Also, I didn't find GenuineTicket.xml in the Panther folder.

    Please share your setup logs.

    • Open the "C:$WINDOWS.~BT\Sources" folder.
    • Select the two folders, "Panther" and "Rollback" (if present).
    • Delete the GenuineTicket.xml file in the Panther folder.
    • Copy the two folders to the desktop and Zip them.
    • Upload the zip file to OneDrive and share the link here.
