Hello

I never had any problems with my PC .

Windows 11, version 24H2 update is ready to install, I approve the restart, it starts working, stops at 68% for 5 minutes, then restarts and turns off PC. When I booth back, it simply wants to download it and install it again.

Troubleshooter shows Error but offers no solution.

I have downloaded the ISO and followed all instructions, but 26% in, the installer just stops all goes back to windows and says Windows 11 instalation failed.

Any ideas?

Reverse they won't. It's a Catch 22 situation they improved security of the drivers which causes the failure to upgrade, they would have to weaken the security to get the same upgrade success as in previous annual releases. They aren't going to do that.

As I said, security is the lie.
Out of the five machines I have, the most powerful with the most memory and disk space is the second oldest and is one of the four the update fails on, and its CPU is said by integrity check not to be supported by Win11 (Intel Core i7-6700K CPU 4.00GHz) while I still can play the latest games at more than 90fps with max graphics and use it for Blender, FreeCAD and other heavy tools. The four others include a laptop where nothing was installed (no additional driver than those installed by Windows in the first place) as it's used to browse web only, no tool, no game, nothing, yet it fails too, and the oldest and less powerful of them five which updated right.
If it's not despisingly funking with the customer, what is it?

After pausing my update last November 2024, today my Microsoft Surface Pro 9 finally updated to 24H2.
