Hello

I never had any problems with my PC .

Windows 11, version 24H2 update is ready to install, I approve the restart, it starts working, stops at 68% for 5 minutes, then restarts and turns off PC. When I booth back, it simply wants to download it and install it again.

Troubleshooter shows Error but offers no solution.

I have downloaded the ISO and followed all instructions, but 26% in, the installer just stops all goes back to windows and says Windows 11 instalation failed.

Any ideas?

Can't download or install windows media player from store, starts download and they says there's been an error. I've tried 25+ times. I phoned the numbers they supply for help and they say to go on line. On line tells me to phone support. What a total joke Windows 11 is.

Windows media player is already included as standard in every Windows 11 OS.

You don't need to download it from the Store.

Just type the name in the SEARCH BOX and open the app.

I have tried everything suggested, and wasted a great deal of time, but the Windows 11 24H2 update will not install. I am continually prompted to restart my computer, and the installation fails every time.

I have tried everything to install this. My solution is to disable the Windows update service, so I don't get nagged to install any updates. I will wait for Windows 12 and do a fresh install.

It's believed there will be 25h2 later this year so you could try jumping to that from 23h2. They might have sorted out the bug by then. The bug is probably across a number of areas. 25h2 is suppose to be incremental which begs the question of how it jumps.

It's going to be non compliant drivers and / or programs you are having issues with but given the migration is lousy on diagnostics unless you are skilled at reading the error report you get stuck. There are people about that can read these.

25h2 will just introduce a whole new set of bugs. Like many others, I tried just about everything several times over the period of a month even with Microsoft Support. In the end, I had to install Windows from scratch. We couldn't find any valid reason for the update refusing to install! Lost my copy of MS Office as well as several of my installed and paid for applications. Microsoft, pretty damn poor if you ask me.
