Windows 11, version 24H2 won't install

Hello

I never had any problems with my PC .

Windows 11, version 24H2 update is ready to install, I approve the restart, it starts working, stops at 68% for 5 minutes, then restarts and turns off PC. When I booth back, it simply wants to download it and install it again.

Troubleshooter shows Error but offers no solution.

I have downloaded the ISO and followed all instructions, but 26% in, the installer just stops all goes back to windows and says Windows 11 instalation failed.

Any ideas?

Tried this - after trying to update for a month. Still no luck.

I get a few different error codes - and for the most part it looks like microsoft don't think I have a laptop that meets the win11 requirements - and I should consider buying a new one. Problem is - this is a new one. It allready HAS win11 installed. I have made sure enough disc space has been freed. Lost track of all other helpful advice I have tried following, but it really starts piling up.

Getting real tired of this sh*t..

    TRY THIS METHOD:

I installed Dec 15 the big 24H2 update on my computer (HP 470 G9 laptop, Windows 11 Pro).

**The update went well and without any problems with this method:**💻👍👍

    Windows 11 Installation Assistant

I would like to emphasize that this is one of the three official installation methods recommended by Microsoft!

Microsoft: This is the best option for installing Windows 11 on the device you’re currently using.

    Note these 2 things!

    1) In order to proceed the installation process, everyone must first pass the WindowsPCHealthCheck (which can be found from the link at the top of the downloaded Windows11 Installation Assistant -application window)

    2) 23H2 must be installed on the computer

My laptop has been working flawlessly and stably ever since!

I have tried updating - deleting, reinnstalling. Now I got an option to reroll back an earlier update to fix issues by reinnstalling. Well. It cannot even do this now. Guess I will have to live without this update. Especially given the neverending loop I seem to get into if I try to choose any "click here to get help"-button I meet on my way..

Thanks for your efforts on this.

I will create a new thread.

But will it not confuse things if it had the same title?

People will think I was just too lazy to search for the appropriate th read, and just started a new one.

Just noticed that you mentioned the error code 0xc1900101 - 0x20017 in the new thread you created.

This error can usually be fixed by applying a BIOS update and installing the latest chipset drivers.
