Hello
I never had any problems with my PC .
Windows 11, version 24H2 update is ready to install, I approve the restart, it starts working, stops at 68% for 5 minutes, then restarts and turns off PC. When I booth back, it simply wants to download it and install it again.
Troubleshooter shows Error but offers no solution.
I have downloaded the ISO and followed all instructions, but 26% in, the installer just stops all goes back to windows and says Windows 11 instalation failed.
Any ideas?

I have tried everything. Have given up.
Pausing the autoupdates for one week at a time - then when it unpauses I give it a try - watch it go (slooowly) up to 8% for then to tell me my pretty new hp elitebook g10 pro with win11 is not good enough for win11 and I should go buy a new laptop - then I sigh heavily and pauses the updates once again for one week...
I will buy myself a cake to celebrate the day this update actually works.
yeah that didn't work. i don't know what i can do to get this to work. i don't know where to go to fix corrupted files. it tells me my laptop does not meet system requirements. what am i supposed to do a full reset?
thanks i will see if it works. alright where do i find this tool? yeah its still giving me the failed to install. even the manual download doesn't cut it. i am getting irritated with this update. its not even worth it anymore and it keeps telling me my system does not meet requirements which i don't know what that means. this laptop is relatively new and should meet its requirements.

Well that's the slick way of doing all the tedious stuff people keep republishing but if you haven't got a corruption it won't help.
I've published the fix I found above which has helped people. It's related to drivers that won't pass the security test introduced in 24h2 at the 70 % boot stage. You scan for hvri (? Its above whatever the initials are). It's a Microsoft tool that lists off drivers that fail that test. You then isolate them and remove them. It's the missing ingredient if you have these drivers. I reckon some people turn off the boot security and get it to work that way.
So yes your fix is a useful one and I've used but not on this.
The duff drivers get introduced by the users, they are there and fail 24h2 final 70% stage, then there are another group that fail the first stage. People who update drivers mistakenly can pick these others ones up. I had that at one point but found online a report of that on the driver I had, so reverted back. It's a complete carry on.
