uh ok.
Windows 11, version 24H2 won't install
Hello
I never had any problems with my PC .
Windows 11, version 24H2 update is ready to install, I approve the restart, it starts working, stops at 68% for 5 minutes, then restarts and turns off PC. When I booth back, it simply wants to download it and install it again.
Troubleshooter shows Error but offers no solution.
I have downloaded the ISO and followed all instructions, but 26% in, the installer just stops all goes back to windows and says Windows 11 instalation failed.
Any ideas?

2025-02-24T20:48:00+00:00 i installed something called Media Creation Tool. what does it do exactly before i go installing it.
I tried that. It's like a shortcut to filling in some of the parameters you enter using the ISO file. That you also mount. You can just stick to the iso file.
Do back up your system and have the recovery drive handy and that password just in case it drops you out and you need to go into the uefi.

2025-02-24T19:05:39+00:00 what is mount?
Old mainframe terminology for introducing a drive on a system. If you Google "disk pack" with images. That's your drive. You picked it up and slapped into a unit. The mount was marrying it up.
In this case it's making a pseudo drive so you can "mount" it. Clear as mud. You don't need a DVD drive it makes a pseudo one that is mounted... no heavy lifting. Don't think I've ever lifted one but requested them to be slotted in, in the old days by computer operators. They would love you for it.... snarl look.
