Hello
I never had any problems with my PC .
Windows 11, version 24H2 update is ready to install, I approve the restart, it starts working, stops at 68% for 5 minutes, then restarts and turns off PC. When I booth back, it simply wants to download it and install it again.
Troubleshooter shows Error but offers no solution.
I have downloaded the ISO and followed all instructions, but 26% in, the installer just stops all goes back to windows and says Windows 11 instalation failed.
Any ideas?
You need the error code that the ISO method gives you. 26% feels like 30% so that the first stage. You can always do the inplace reinstall of 23h2 which fixes any issues, that's on the menu. That's like a reset. That's a short cut to all those stop and start pages of instructions people are fond of posting as solutions.
If that doesn't do it then you got to do the full diagnose. Mine only would stop at 30% with a duff incompatible driver that got in there as an update. That needed rolling back. My main issue was at 70% with the memory integrity check of the drivers before the system is sown up. My take on the process. Whether non Microsoft virus checking programs mess it up at 30% or 70% pass. That's the other one you are told. Remove those non Microsoft virus checking programs.
All drivers need to be signed. Farbar gives you an analysis of your system you can inspect. Take a copy of the drivers before changing them. If using the ISO method change the toggle to don't update the drivers now. Too late perhaps if you haven't changed that.
