Ganesh When you say OEMs and Microsoft have to work together, do you mean hardware or software or both? Reason I ask is some people have Microsoft computers yet had and have problems, so in that case they are the OEM too!
Windows 11, version 24H2 won't install
Hello
I never had any problems with my PC .
Windows 11, version 24H2 update is ready to install, I approve the restart, it starts working, stops at 68% for 5 minutes, then restarts and turns off PC. When I booth back, it simply wants to download it and install it again.
Troubleshooter shows Error but offers no solution.
I have downloaded the ISO and followed all instructions, but 26% in, the installer just stops all goes back to windows and says Windows 11 instalation failed.
Any ideas?

2025-01-09T06:31:12+00:00 I had similar issues and had to contact Microsoft support. They helped and did fix whatever was stopping the install, but now I’m also having the computer performance issues like others have said. By the way, the agent who did the repair said he / she wasn’t aware of any 24H2 problems - seeing all of the issues, that seems to be concerning as well.
I find the File Manager has regained it's delay at first loading which was fixed in 23H2. Like it's building an index. The missing mouse cursor issue from time to time and one recent blue screen I'd never had in 23h2. HP All in one laptop.
The 13 year old hardware runs just dandy on it.. Those drivers I've never updated. Was one initial toothing issue but fixed by a software recovery restore. An initial hiccup reported elsewhere. All singing, all dancing Windows 11 modern hardware is the one where the issues arrive.
Yes you do see Microsoft solve 24h2 installation issues online after getting all the logs etc but that's going to be a lot of work for them to do.

2025-01-08T22:30:43+00:00 To all it concerns (that's meanwhile quite a lot):
Again, Microsoft urges me to do the accursed 24H2 Windows 11 update, which definitely can't succeed, as Microsoft and a huge amount of users know by now. That is, lest one does some time-consuming digital acrobatics, which I am not prepared to submit to and that don't even guarantee a positive outcome most of the time. So, I have decided to stop all updating until Microsoft has sorted out this mess.
Bye,

Reckon you could wait a while. It's like launching Apollo 11 with the Luna LEM missing a leg. Some people think it will grow a leg on route.... doesn't work like that. Got to wait till Apollo 13 I reckon... why they ever numbered that like that who knows.
Seriously I think the hardware and range of drivers got more complex so changing the rules mid flight in Windows 11 was going to be problematic.
