Windows 11, version 24H2 won't install

Hello

I never had any problems with my PC .

Windows 11, version 24H2 update is ready to install, I approve the restart, it starts working, stops at 68% for 5 minutes, then restarts and turns off PC. When I booth back, it simply wants to download it and install it again.

Troubleshooter shows Error but offers no solution.

I have downloaded the ISO and followed all instructions, but 26% in, the installer just stops all goes back to windows and says Windows 11 instalation failed.

Any ideas?

    24H2 is now installed on my PC.

    It took about 90 minutes and I have a dreadful lot of tweaking to do to get my taskbar back in order. Only one app that posted an incompatible warning at startup, and that's an old one I don't need that I'll delete. I also installed ASUS (my motherboard) Armoury Crate, an option when I finally restarted. I'll check into it tomorrow. I tracked the time for the three Steps in the Assistant then used my phone to get pics of each step in the reboot process so I'll have a time-stamp to review (just for curiosity, and in case it failed along the way).

    Way past when I wanted to hit the hay, so I'll probably post more details and perhaps questions tomorrow.

    I am having trouble with 24H2. Will not download. Quits after 35% or so.

    Delete the update cache:

    Go to the C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download folder and delete all files in it. Found it but will not let me delete any of the files

    I never got an "Update" message in the last week when I "shut down." Apparently it has been trying to install 24HS since Dec 12 and has failed each time. I now have a notice that I don't have much storage space left. I have never had a problem with this laptop == new in Dec 2022.

    Link to Windows is very wonky since this started. I do not have HDR auto turned on.

    Help, please. So annoying.

    (I didn't find any file named GeniuneTicket or Ticket in either folder. The .xml file is in $SysReset\Logs\Rollback\Panther)

    Hi Ken,

    Please open the following folder:

    C:\WINDOWS\ServiceProfiles\LocalService

    Copy NTUSER.DAT to the desktop. Share it on OneDrive and post the link here.
