I have the same question. It is Feb 23, 2025 and I have windows 11 23H2 - says I am at end of service.
Why does it say my version of Windows has reached the end of service?

I just recently did some automatic Windows updates on my computer and am getting a message that my version of Windows has reached the end of service. I currently have Windows 11 Pro 23H2 which should be the most recent one. Anyone else having this issue?

2025-03-10T16:32:24+00:00 FIX: Use Windows 11 installation assistant to reinstall. It takes about an hour to download and install via the assistant.
It only does this to the operating system; you won't lose files or apps.
Once it's reinstalled you can update again like before.
I didn't get any response from Microsoft regarding it, just did this myself and solved it.

Why do you need to buy new hardware, unless the hardware is locked down to only 23H2?
