Phone link error 256 with S22 Ultra

I have had Phone link working for years with my Samsung Galaxy S22 ultra.
Recently, part of the functionality stopped working, specifically, the "open phone screen" part. I keep getting an error 256.
The phone is on Wifi, connected to a Ubiquiti NanoHD.
The PC is a desktop on 10 Gbps ethernet.
Both are in the same /24 subnet, using DHCP with IP reservations in the router.
The phone says it's connected to the PC. The PC says the phone is connected to it.
I can see the phone's text messages & photos on the PC.
I just can't open the phone screen on my PC, or show any app on my PC's screen.

2024-11-24T18:33:36+00:00 Interesting. On my S22 Ultra with Android 14, the Link to Windows app is 1.24102.101.0, ie. lower revision number than on your much older S10+ .
The Link to Windows service version is 3.1.02.4 .
Things are still broken as of today.

2024-11-24T04:29:30+00:00 Mine did the same thing starting yesterday, the 22nd. May have started the 21st. I can't remember because I have been trying to resolve this to no avail. Everything worked great a few days ago and boom. I've uninstalled, disconnected, reconnected, reverted to an earlier update....I finally got both my phone (S21 ultra 5G) and my Lenovo Laptop connected. But none of my phone apps open. Phone screen won't open. Always the dreaded 256 error. Hope they get this resolved quickly.

2024-11-24T03:47:39+00:00 UPDATE In addition to my phone stats above, I forgot to include my current Win11 installations. As I reinstalled Win11 the other day, these are all the updates I have Sure hope this helps someone.

2024-11-24T00:29:18+00:00 tried this, rolling back to the early october versions of both phone and windows apps, still getting the dreaded 256 error not sure what im doing wrong. I did however revert back to 21h1 not sure if thats whats causing it which makes no sense to me
