Phone link error 256 with S22 Ultra

I have had Phone link working for years with my Samsung Galaxy S22 ultra.

Recently, part of the functionality stopped working, specifically, the "open phone screen" part. I keep getting an error 256.

The phone is on Wifi, connected to a Ubiquiti NanoHD.

The PC is a desktop on 10 Gbps ethernet.

Both are in the same /24 subnet, using DHCP with IP reservations in the router.

The phone says it's connected to the PC. The PC says the phone is connected to it.

I can see the phone's text messages & photos on the PC.

I just can't open the phone screen on my PC, or show any app on my PC's screen.

    i agree with this but for some reason phone link lags a bit when Im using the mirror screen mode in the past, this goes away with samsung flow even though both are supposedly connected via wifi? I heard that the phone link app not working properly had to do with some "windows app" being discontinued? I could be wrong but I still cant believe microsoft hasn't address this issue.

    Turns out there is a setting to increase screen resolution on Samsung Flow. I also like the notifications better than Phone Link's. I'm liking Samsung Flow more and more as I use it.

    how did i not know about samsung flow, thanks it arguably feels faster for me so far, this saves me some time on my daily work. Once again thanks for this
