I can't access other computers on the network after the windows 11 24H2 update

I can see other computers on my network but I have no access. I've checked all of the network settings. This all happened right after the windows 11 24H2 completed. I updated all the computers on the network and still no access.

    I love you. This worked perfectly! I can finally access my shared folders.

    Remote desktop isn't working but I use Splashtop anyway so I'm not in a hurry to fix that.

    No, since win 11 update 24H2, my network is non functional. No other chances, i just keep getting the dialog box to log in then it tells me my login is not correct or I don't have permission to access the files. I set all permissions to shared. The only change is Win 11 24H2 upgrade. I am unable to use my 6 networked computers, business is stopped.

    Wow!!! Steve D, You have made my day...or more accurately my 2 weeks since this dreaded patch messed up my system'

    You either work for Microsoft or are brilliant as that patch has wasted a lot of my last 2 weeks time trying every recommendation that's been given on here with no success,

       I had started plans to make a major move of equipment  as the o/p of security cameras goes to a win10Home laptop via wifi and hence  via lan cable to a win11pro  that is out of range of the cameras.

    After a few drinks I will now start putting pc's back where they are convenient.

    Be good if Microsoft can update/fix that patch as many others must b getting the problems we've had.

    Use \localhost to find your computer. At leas you will know if you are connected to the network. Sometimes you need to reboot the router and the computers.

    SOLUTION found: I was reluctant at first, but I guess we all have to lose sometimes.

    Assuming that SMB 1.0 is enabled on all the computers (control panel/turn windows features on or off):

    First ensure that all the computers are in the same Workgroup (Right click My Computer/Properties) and that all the connections are set to private (left click on the connection icon, choose the connection and click on the ! mark to choose Private). Ensure that network discovery and sharing are enabled.

    Go to the folder you want to share, right click and choose "share". On the next menu, choose share with: everyone, and give permission to read and write.

    The trick is to use a password or a pin on every computer even if you choose to share to everyone. Some computers require that you use the "share with command and follow the instructions on the next windows).
