Windows 11 reached end of service

Down in the system tray, it shows "Your version of Windows 11 has reached end of service. Click to download a newer version of Windows 11 to stay updated."

When I click on it, the Windows Update window opens. Its states You're Up to Date but under it, it shows "Your device is missing important security updates. Make sure to keep device on and plugged in so updates can complete.

I am not sure how to resolve.

    I'm not a computer guy but just sharing what I've been told about my machine by my son. Likely will need to upgrade not only the CPU but the motherboard also, and possibly the RAM. And maybe the power supply unit (PSU) if my existing doesn't meet wattage requirements of the new configuration.

    Seems there is a chipset in the motherboard that is only compatible with certain CPUs, and it doesn't seem likely that the new CPU will talk to my old motherboard's chipset. And then the RAM may need to be upgraded to the DDR5 type - he thinks I'm running DDR4, which may have compatibility issues as well.

    I found a couple of videos since I asked the question in Google: I cannot update windows 11 version 21 HC.

    I found one: “How to Fix Windows 11 Update Error {Easy & Best Solution}.” and another one: “How to Fix All Windows 11 Update Errors| Updates Failed Solved”

    However, I have not yet followed through on the directions yet, but I will try, when I have time to listen carefully and pursue these directions. Of course, I would love to have the directions in writing, but no avenue for that.

    I found the same solution suggestions with a Google search but haven't dared take the plunge for fear of my PC being compromised somehow. Not sure whether I'll attempt it or just leave it the way it is with no more updates.
