Windows 11 reached end of service

Down in the system tray, it shows "Your version of Windows 11 has reached end of service. Click to download a newer version of Windows 11 to stay updated."

When I click on it, the Windows Update window opens. Its states You're Up to Date but under it, it shows "Your device is missing important security updates. Make sure to keep device on and plugged in so updates can complete.

I am not sure how to resolve.

    I'm in the same boat. Have been running Windows 11 Pro 21H2 with this processor for over a year and a half and receiving regular (approximate monthly) updates with no problem. Last update was installed 11/13/2024.

    Intel Core i7-6950X CPU @ 3.00GHz

    It is a bit of an older processor, and I did have to install a TPM 2.0 chip to make Windows 11 run when I rebuilt the system. But why would they stop supporting a processor that had apparently been ok up until now?

    When I run the Installation Assistant, I just get the message "This PC doesn't meet the minimum..." and no assistance is provided.

    I'm not a computer guy but just sharing what I've been told about my machine by my son. Likely will need to upgrade not only the CPU but the motherboard also, and possibly the RAM. And maybe the power supply unit (PSU) if my existing doesn't meet wattage requirements of the new configuration.

    Seems there is a chipset in the motherboard that is only compatible with certain CPUs, and it doesn't seem likely that the new CPU will talk to my old motherboard's chipset. And then the RAM may need to be upgraded to the DDR5 type - he thinks I'm running DDR4, which may have compatibility issues as well.

    My pc has never passed the install checker. I am unsure why since it exceeds the minimum requirements with TPM, memory ect.

    Anyways, there are several YouTube videos that show how you can install Windows 11 on any machine.
