Using Phone Link on computer it creates a group in chat - and does not send message to recipient

Phone is up to date

Computers are both up to date with MS update

BUT

Using Phone Link when I send a message to one of the people I message often rather than send message it creates a group. (see below)

On my phone it then shows as a group chat - which I can't edit

Works fine on my phone - but not on Phone Link - on both computers I own. Screenshot of how it ends up below.

I also have quite a few messages where both the name of recipient and my phone number comes up - just a bit of a pain.

I'd really appreciate any help on this

    I have had the exact same issue for weeks, using a Samsung A52s, and it was driving me insane.

    This solution worked and now it is back to normal!

    Hi - can you tell me which version you downloaded.

    I thought Phone Link was part of Windows system - so does the download override the system one?

    I tried this and rolled back to 1.24101.60.0 with successful results.

    Thank you - version 1.24111.82.0 has solved the problem for me.

    Problem now is I have a permanent "1" notification badge because I can't turn notifications off for available updates!

    Somewhat annoying - but far less annoying than having random groups being constantly created.
