Using Phone Link on computer it creates a group in chat - and does not send message to recipient

Phone is up to date

Computers are both up to date with MS update

BUT

Using Phone Link when I send a message to one of the people I message often rather than send message it creates a group. (see below)

On my phone it then shows as a group chat - which I can't edit

Works fine on my phone - but not on Phone Link - on both computers I own. Screenshot of how it ends up below.

I also have quite a few messages where both the name of recipient and my phone number comes up - just a bit of a pain.

I'd really appreciate any help on this

Thanks heaps

Gary

How do you revert back? I'm having the same issue.

I don't think it is an RCS issue - i just tested with RCS turned off and the grouping problem persists. It is completely frustrating and I agree with everyone else who is saying it makes messages on Phonelink unusable. Microsoft PLEASE fix this ASAP

Same issue here - Galaxy S22 use Google Messages for texts - if i send a reply to a text from the windows app it creates a new thread and sends the message to me there whilst keeping replies from the other person in the original thread. Makes it really hard to follow the flow of conversation, rendering the app next to useless.

I think this started happening after updating to 24H2

I have an s22 and when ever I send a reply to a group message creates duplicate message separating it out in the app and then on the phone. So I can no longer use the computer to respond to group chats only one on one chats.

Hi all. I wonder if this is an RCS chat issue. I've just rest my RCS and it looks as though it doubles up when I use RCS chat.

Is this the same for others

As noted if it is RCS then Microsoft does need to sort this

    Thanks
