Using Phone Link on computer it creates a group in chat - and does not send message to recipient

Phone is up to date

Computers are both up to date with MS update

BUT

Using Phone Link when I send a message to one of the people I message often rather than send message it creates a group. (see below)

On my phone it then shows as a group chat - which I can't edit

Works fine on my phone - but not on Phone Link - on both computers I own. Screenshot of how it ends up below.

I also have quite a few messages where both the name of recipient and my phone number comes up - just a bit of a pain.

I'd really appreciate any help on this

Thanks heaps

Gary

Completely agree. I need to stop using it.

messages.google.com is a good alternative, but you lose phone call/data sharing functionality. If those functions are important to you, I would recommend Intel Unison. It has a few bugs of its own, like some chats failing to refresh, but it is much better than dealing with this awful mess of a program.

I tried this and rolled back to 1.24101.60.0 with successful results.

Thanks for the reply. Checked my settings and that had already been done. Appreciate the thoughts though.

Still having real issues whether I use Google or Samsung messages.

    It's now creating more groups

And being a system programme I cant find a way to uninstall and reinstall

If any thoughts on that I'd appreciate it

    Thanks heaps

You can certainly give feedback, and every user's opinion is important. The issue will be submitted to the developers at Microsoft. You can also send a feedback link to a reply and users experiencing the same problem, including myself, will help you vote.
