Can someone help me out here? After I updated my Windows software on my laptop this evening, I got a message saying "Your version of Windows has reached the end of service". This really confuses me because I'm on Windows 11 and I got a new laptop literally 2 months ago and I barely even used 10-15% of it's total memory space on my C Drive.
Does anyone know what's going on here? Does this mean I won't be able to get security updates for my Windows on my new laptop? Am I going to have to pay more money just to get Windows to work properly and stay up-to-date? I'm feeling very concerned.

I downloaded the windows update assistant and the windows health app after it displayed that the processor doesn't support windows 11 the laptop came with windows 11 it has an Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7500U CPU @ 2.70GHz 2.90 GHz it should support windows 11 right?
No sorry. The processor is not supported so you cannot use the assistant.
Was the laptop brand new and supplied with Windows 11 from the manufacturer. I believe non supported hardware workarounds in 24H2 are being restricted.
Did someone install Windows 11 when it should have had Windows 10?
As you cannot use the assistant then you can try the ISO image file to carry out an in-place upgrade. However there may be issues even if it does work.
Download the ISO image from the same site you used to get the assistant and once downloaded open File Explorer and mount the ISO. You will see a new drive letter appear, select that and run setup then follow the prompts.
Absolutely right. What version of Windows 11 are you running now? Run winver to obtain the version of Windows your system is running. If Windows Update can’t upgrade to 24H2, try to download and upgrade the UEFI with the latest BIOS for your motherboard. The Windows 11 operating system should upgrade to version 24H2. If it doesn’t or won’t, you’ll have to reinstall Windows 11 from the Windows 11 Update Assistant after you burn the Windows ISO to a DVD or to a thumb drive. After backing up everything you want to keep to another drive boot up from the new Windows 11 disk or thumb drive and re-install Windows 11 as well as all the apps from your backup drive.

The best approach I have practiced, is to joins the Insider Programme (the recommended is Dev Channel, it is relatively more stable than the rest.), and then you will receive an update to the newest preview version of Windowes11 (mine is 23h2).
Pls note that preview version are usually unstable, so you need to unscbscribe the insider programme after the dev channel update(https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windowsinsider/leave-program).
Then, not soon you will receive the newest stable update. This is how i managed to move my device from 21H2 to 23H2.

Thank you kindly for your selfless post. Your solution worked like a dream. After the first Cumulative Framework update came in, I rebooted the laptop, and Version 24H2 had fully installed. Your fix is a life-saver, because it did not affect precious resident data. So, it was not necessary to replace any files at all.
