Can someone help me out here? After I updated my Windows software on my laptop this evening, I got a message saying "Your version of Windows has reached the end of service". This really confuses me because I'm on Windows 11 and I got a new laptop literally 2 months ago and I barely even used 10-15% of it's total memory space on my C Drive.

Does anyone know what's going on here? Does this mean I won't be able to get security updates for my Windows on my new laptop? Am I going to have to pay more money just to get Windows to work properly and stay up-to-date? I'm feeling very concerned.

This is concerning. I thought we needed newer hardware to even run Windows 11. Our company is spending thousands on new Dell units with Windows 11 on it already. I hope this doesn't mean there is an upper echelon of hardware requirements that works with 24H2.

If you run the Windows 11 compatibility testing tool from Windows 10 and it indicates that everything is fine except for the CPU, you should have no issues doing a fresh install of Windows 11 version 24H2. You must have the latest bios installed as well as TPM 2.0 configured in your UEFI. In addition, make sure you have at least 32GB (depending on what types of apps you’re running) to run Windows 11. Having an NVME M.2 1TB SSD drive or larger as your boot drive would be best. Since you already ordered these new computers, probably what I’m saying here is a moot point anyway.

I am so sorry that this happened to your company especially spending thousands on new hardware when it might not have been required. Unfortunately you didn’t see these Microsoft threads / messages until recently.

    Hope this helps.

Good luck with Dell. I've a Ryzen 9, 1 year old machine, so I shouldn't have even experienced this.
