Can someone help me out here? After I updated my Windows software on my laptop this evening, I got a message saying "Your version of Windows has reached the end of service". This really confuses me because I'm on Windows 11 and I got a new laptop literally 2 months ago and I barely even used 10-15% of it's total memory space on my C Drive.

Does anyone know what's going on here? Does this mean I won't be able to get security updates for my Windows on my new laptop? Am I going to have to pay more money just to get Windows to work properly and stay up-to-date? I'm feeling very concerned.

    Hey, I was also facing the same issue. After i ran windows11 installation assistant , it said TPM2.0 does not exist even i am already running windows11 but then i checked and found TPM was disabled in BIOS recently due to may be i replaced CMOS battery. Now after enabling TPM in BIOS then the message "Your version of windows 11 has reached the end of service." is gone forever even if i did not update to latest H24 version. I will update to higher version of windows 11 when i get it via windows update. So headline is issue solved after enabling TPM in BIOS :).

    This solved it for me.

    I was running 22H2. (Checked with Win+R -> "winver.exe")

    Installed the assistant neilpzz mentioned above.

    It ran a restart with updates and i had 24H2 when it was done.

    I've already tried to run an update. It has the following information after trying to do the update. "You're up to date. Your device is missing important security updates. Make sure to keep your device on and plugged in so updates can complete.

    Hello There, CS: If all you want is for your systems to function properly and to be able to update your systems via Windows Update, an option to solve and move forward from this ‘end-of-service’ issue was offered in this webpage by QuarterFin a few months back. The fix goes like this: Settings > Windows Update > Windows Insider Program > Dev Channel > Join | Shortly thereafter, you will receive an update to the newest Insider Preview version of Windows 11. Please take note that Insider Preview versions are usually unstable. This is why you must unsubscribe from the Insider Program Dev Channel soon after you have downloaded and installed the first Insider Preview received, in order to receive the more stable version updates subsequently. You may receive another Insider Preview version, then, a longer while later, you will receive the latest stable version for your system. Just remember to unsubscribe from the Insider Preview Dev Channel soon after installing the first Insider Preview version update, to revert to the stable versions. This should set you back rolling. We hope this helps.

    I am in IT and i have numerous devices doing this. Mine got hit today. I didn't realize that one of the updates was windows 11. I have been skipping the update due to this and the fact I hate Windows 11. Trying to get to the Printers with 3 extra steps just seems absurd to me. And why does it open the file explorer when i go to look and more devices?

    I am on 21h2 that literally updated today - 2.26.25. Why would it update to the most up to date version?

    I have tried to use the update assistant on another device and it crashed the OS, Blue screened.

    Tried to pause update - stop updates services and deleted the distrosoftware folders content.

    My last ditch effort is to roll back the updated at the cost of possibly losing things. Mainly apps.

    Please tell me that you guys (Microsoft haven't screwed me on this like you seem to do so often with these updates.

    So what version and build of Windows 11 do you have currently? Type winver in Search and post back the full version and build.
