Can someone help me out here? After I updated my Windows software on my laptop this evening, I got a message saying "Your version of Windows has reached the end of service". This really confuses me because I'm on Windows 11 and I got a new laptop literally 2 months ago and I barely even used 10-15% of it's total memory space on my C Drive.

Does anyone know what's going on here? Does this mean I won't be able to get security updates for my Windows on my new laptop? Am I going to have to pay more money just to get Windows to work properly and stay up-to-date? I'm feeling very concerned.

    Since so many people are still asking the same question and I have managed to update successfully, I will summarize things here.

    1. You have an outdated version of Windows 11 (hell yeah, this is new to me too). If your version of Windows is not 24H2 (which is most likely would be, since you are reading this thread), then go to the next step
    2. If you really want to check what version of Windows you are running, go to Command Prompt and type WINVER
    3. If you want to download the latest Windows 11, go here https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows11 

    For me, even downloading it will not work but instead, I had to check if my PC was compatible with Windows 11 (silly that way but just do as instructed)

    1. There will be instructions to check your Windows 11 for compatibility with Windows 11. Just follow those steps and you will be able to run the ISO file in step 3.
    2. If you are not sure how to run step 3, you need to know how to MOUNT ISO files. Google is your friend, or nowadays, I use Perplexity.

    I’m not joking when I say I need genuine help here. My Windows 11 version is set to 22H2, but I’ve never seen updates for 23H2 or 24H2. I’m now

    getting a message saying, "Your version of Windows 11 has reached the end of service."

    I’ve read through several replies to similar questions, but I’m still unsure what to do in this situation.

    I’d appreciate clear guidance on how to resolve this. Thanks in advance!

    or how to download only 23h2 version instead off 24h2 ?

    Hi Ramesh, I have the same trouble, being unable to update Windows 11 since November, on two HP laptops that are less than two years old. May I chime in also on this thread? Both have Windows 11 Home, licensed to me.

    Computer 1 Has Version 22H2 (OS Build 22621.4317)

    Computer 2 Has Version 21H2 (OS Build 22000.2538).

    Both computers are saying that their OS have reached end of life, and clicking Check for Updates results in no update, just a statement that the OS has reached its end of life.

    What do I do to get the Win 11 OS back up to speed?

    As I posted as an answer to the other user on ARM Download Windows 11 Arm64 use the ISO image. Download and mount it in File Explorer. Select the new drive letter and run setup. This is an in=place upgrade process that should update to the latest version release.

    neilpzz, My situation is the same as yours, ARM with Parallels Desktop. I downloaded Win11_24H2_English_Arm64.iso, mounted it, and ran the setup. After I still have the same version but with the new installed on date. Did you have to do any other steps?
