Can someone help me out here? After I updated my Windows software on my laptop this evening, I got a message saying "Your version of Windows has reached the end of service". This really confuses me because I'm on Windows 11 and I got a new laptop literally 2 months ago and I barely even used 10-15% of it's total memory space on my C Drive.

Does anyone know what's going on here? Does this mean I won't be able to get security updates for my Windows on my new laptop? Am I going to have to pay more money just to get Windows to work properly and stay up-to-date? I'm feeling very concerned.

    I guess it might be better then to remote it after the update has installed.

    I just did fresh installs and called it a day. Now i am having sysprep issues due to the new 24H2 Win 11 Version. Microsoft... You killing me. LOL

    I've been aware of that registry setting in the past but thought it was to restrict the version update. So in the future it may not get 25H2 if you use that setting.

    It's not unusual to get a new system with an old version. Shouldn't really be out of support though. That is down to the manufacturer using an old image or it's an older system and been in stock for a while.

    I came across a new client computer but shipped with 22H2. It had the same problem but I found the following registry key changes:

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate]

    "ProductVersion"="Windows 11"

    "TargetReleaseVersionInfo"="24H2"

    "TargetReleaseVersion "=dword:00000001

    Worked for this client. There are plenty of tutorials about updating the registry key,

    I don't know if you have seen previous replies but others found the Windows 11 Installation Assistant updated them to the latest version 24H2. Download Windows 11
