I installed a faulty program that deleted my windows defender

The disk seems faulty.

Please run the following command from admin Command Prompt:

• chkdsk c: /f

Press Y when you see this prompt:

The type of the file system is NTFS.

Cannot lock current drive.

Chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another

process. Would you like to schedule this volume to be

checked the next time the system restarts? (Y/N)

Restart Windows and let chkdsk finish the scan and repairs.

Once it's complete, open Event Viewer and click the Application log.

Look for the most recent “Wininit” entry (event source) with the event ID: 1001.

when running shrink desired=750 computer restarted again. In the restart process window icon appeared on a black screen with a text below "Fixing (C:) Stage 1 after that Stage 2.. After that it said repairing volume C: 100% or something like that

Ok, there is a disk error that causes this. The setup failed during the resize operation for the same reason.

Maybe we can discard the old recovery partition and create a new one.

Run:

diskpart

select disk 0

list part

select volume C

shrink desired=750

exit

when running del part override computer restarted, is that ok? it said something about an error. Should I continue with the next steps? or restart from step 1 (diskpart)

From admin Command Prompt, please run:

diskpart

select disk 0

select part 3

del part override

select volume C

shrink desired=222

exit
