So my pc system settings say I'm on windows 11 pro but windows update says "Get the new version of windows to stay up to date Your version of windows has reached the end of service"

Did not see this till I woke up....

Will have to try these steps after work tonight, but what do you think happened?

When I use winver, it says I am on Windows 11 23H2, but when going to updates, it now says what it did before install, need newer version of Windows 11, etc.....not what it said last night.

What do you think happened, but have patience w/me, I don't have dropbox and the only way I know to show screenshot is to take a pic w/my phone then upload it, no other way I know. The steps you gave me sound a bit confusing for a non computer geek like me, but will try....any non geek suggestions?

Not really a rush on 24H2,

However, discovered that 23H2 did not completely update/download....see the pic, screenshot from computer, have already restarted computer twice, update download seems to be slow, network may be slow, bad weather right now, but earlier when I downloaded from the link you sent, it downloaded in a few seconds, but now, updated seems to be slow.....so I will wait till this clears, since there is no need for 24H2 right now, won't do it, have to make sure the 23H2 finishes updating....may be sleeping by then, will leave computer on overnight which I usually do not do.....thoughts?

If you would like to upgrade to 24H2 right now, you can do so using the Windows 11 Installation Assistant, the Windows 11 ISO, or the Media Creation Tool. All three of these options will get you to Windows 11, version 24H2.

To use the Windows 11 Installation Assistant, download the Windows 11 Installation Assistant and then run it. You should see some prompts telling you about Windows 11 and what it'll install. Let it download and install 24H2.

To use the Windows 11 Media Creation Tool, download the Windows 11 Media Creation Tool, and run the MCT. Once it finishes loading, push "Upgrade this PC Now". Let the MCT install the Windows 11 installation files, and then let it check for updates, and then let it install Windows 11.

To use the Windows 11 ISO, download the Windows 11 ISO, (you can find it here, scroll down to where you see ISO for Windows 11 x64 devices), mount it, and then run setup.exe (if you see a UAC prompt, push yes). Follow the prompts on-screen and then let setup.exe update and install Windows 11, 24H2.

All of these steps will get you to 24H2 and will take a while to install. It's best to do this at night when you're not doing anything important. Just make sure to save your files before you start.

However, as stated before, 23H2 won't go out of support until November of this year, so you still have plenty of time before you need to upgrade. Your PC actually might install 24H2 via Windows Update if your PC supports it.

Link uploaded quickly, restarted computer per instructions and it is version 23H2!

At what point should 24H2 be uploaded, when I get the error, your version of Windows 11 is out of date...haha.....LOL...

I cant thank you enough for your help, you are the only one that was spot on w/advice that I did not have to pay for...haha...

Any other advice?
