Pre-Download Nvidia drivers off internet for your card.

Download DDU to uninstall drivers in safe mode.

Disconnect from the internet and install your Nvidia drivers.

Reconnect to internet.

I have an nVidia RTX 3070 ti graphics card that works perfectly under W11 23H2

My system was placed on update hold due to the card driver which then got release.

On upgrading to W11 24H2 the system crashes and the card is not recognised.

I have currently had to go back to W11 23H2 and wait but there is no information on this from Microsoft or nVidia. As the problem occurred after a Microsoft-invoked update, can someone from Microsoft please tell me what to expect with this as there is no other suggestion from anyone other than Microsoft to say 'dont upgrade but wait for an updated driver'..... the problem was caused by a Windows update and HOT a driver update.

Can you(Microsoft) please provide some insight/update as to 1) what the problem is 2) What is anything I can do/provide to help and 3) How I will know that it is OK to resume updates to my critical machine please.

I should add the event viewer logs error s:

Graphics issues on Win 11 24H2 have been around since it was pushed on users. Its a disgrace.

They have all gone and buried their heads in the sand and do not respond to customers of their operating systems - who have actually paid for this attrocious customer service

Nobody from Micorosft has replied at allon these issues as they are all too important to talk to real customers

I'm coming back to this issue several weeks on after initial reports of Win 11 24H2 messing up graphics

I am using Adobe Premiere Video editing and the 24H2 release affected graphics issues badly for some users

I have stuck with Win 11 23H2 and blocked updating to 24H2

Still no mention from Microsoft on any fixes on this - in the meantime Intel have released many iGPU driver updates since this all began.

Can anyone who had problems back in February 2025 update this thread on any improvements with subsequent Win 11 24H2 updates and driver updates

I experienced the 24H2 'upgrade' crashing my OS due to incompatiblilties with my nVidia 3070 TI card and the associated drivers.

After several attempts, to both get through the upgrade and numerous failed attempts to engage Microsoft or nVidia on the topic I simply rolled back and waiting.

Eventually, after monitoring nVidia driver updates, I attempted again and then the upgrade completed successfully. I paused updates for about a month in that time which I was very uncomfortable about.

No idea why the problem happened and neither MS nor NVidia acknowledged the problem or announced they had fixed something but... someone clearly did as it has been fine for several weeks now.
