Latest Windows 11 24/H2 Release and Graphics Issues

I have read issues around Windows 11 24H2 which cause disruption /conflicts with GPU (eg NVidia) and iGPU (eg Intel Graphics)

I use both GPU's for Video and Photography processing for the Apps I have.

My iGPU is Enabled in BIOS and should not be disabled which it seems can happen with Windows 11 24H2. This is a step into the dark ages.

From evidence I see Windows 11 24H2 kills the iGPU

Has anyone else found this and what is Microsoft doing to fix it?

    I have experienced issues with iGPU aswell. I have amd ryzen igpu enabled along with nvidia rtx 4070 and the amd driver crashes when logging in to windows. Some times the driver continues to function, some times it also crashes the nvidia driver. This all started after upgrading to W11 2H24 from 2H23. I have my igpu enabled because I have a 3 monitor setup, all connected to nvidia card but my av receiver uses hdmi as sound input so I use the free HDMI port on motherboard for sound only. This setup used to work before the upgrade (or should I say downgrade rather) to 2H24

    edit: system specs relevant to issue:
    Ryzen 5 7600X
    ASUS TUF RTX 4070
    ASUS ROG Strix B650E-F Gaming Wifi

    I support all previous users. iGpu stopped encoding video on 2 of my PCs. A 2023 Gigabyte laptop and my PC with 12700 and 3080 started working very slowly in video editing. This is a huge problem! There is a lot of work and editing now, and Microsoft says that it will release a patch only in January!!! This is unacceptable! Do you even have a testing department? Every update you make breaks something in the system. You are obliged to fix the problem immediately if you have any respect for your users!

    Hi thanks for posting to let us know you have the same issues with your iGPU.

    Unfortunately I am no clearer on what is happening on this issue. Seems impossible to get any information out of Microsoft on this problem caused by Windows 11 24/H2.

    The only information is that I see several colleagues on Adobe Community reporting this issue on Windows 24/H2. Not sure yet if this is limited to certain Intel chipsets.

    To be clear on the problem : on Windows 23/H2 you can use the iGPU on board GPU for decoding H264 and H265 video that is compatible, and have the discrete GPU eg NVidia RTX working alongside. Intel K series are capable of iGPU decoding in most cases I believe.

    Seems in Windows 24/H2 it only allows one GPU which does not maximise resources in the PC you have invested in.

    People seeing this issue use Z690 chipset. Also, Asus reports issues with Z890 chipset, and Adobe users with MSI motherboards too.

    I don't know how long Microsoft are going to keep users in the dark on this problem. Its very annoying.
