I updated to Windows 24H2. I have now lost all of my audio. When I hover my mouse over the sound icon in the tray, it shows that "No audio device is installed". How do I fix this?

Mine behaved the same. Audio stopped working after installing 24H2. However, when I reviewed the available output sound devices, I saw that Windows was pointing to the wrong device (RealTek) and when I selected the correct device (Display Audio), audio worked again. Maybe it's a similar situation for you.
I can't see any audio devices in my sound settings they are gone after the update.
Are you seeing any Audio inputs and outputs entries in the Device Manager? If yes, then try to Update the driver in the device that should match your audio output.
If not, you may need to find and install your device driver again.
I'm not an expert. That's what I would do.
Thanks to you and others who took the time to respond. After messing around for a while, I decided to have Microsoft take over my laptop and fix the problem. I've had to do that more than once for the same reason.
HOw do you get Microsoft to take over your laptop?
