Need fix for lost audio from update to Windows 24H2

I updated to Windows 24H2. I have now lost all of my audio. When I hover my mouse over the sound icon in the tray, it shows that "No audio device is installed". How do I fix this?

    I don't see where I can mute or unmute the sound. I did toggle mono off but it did nothing

    Thank you for your offer to help. I discovered that replacing the external PC speakers returned my sound. I had defective speakers.

    I have the problem on my Win 11 system. I attached my speakers to a Win 10 system and the problem disappeared. In my case, it wasn't the speakers.

    I just had an update in my Windows and after the restart everything seems to work.

    I finally worked out a fix for me; I had to update my BIOS. My BIOS was from early 2020 and the one I could update to was mid-2020. Once updated all my USB Audio devices started working again. Worth checking out if you can update your BIOS if you're still experiencing issues.
