Need fix for lost audio from update to Windows 24H2

I updated to Windows 24H2. I have now lost all of my audio. When I hover my mouse over the sound icon in the tray, it shows that "No audio device is installed". How do I fix this?

    I can't see any audio devices in my sound settings they are gone after the update.

    Mine behaved the same. Audio stopped working after installing 24H2. However, when I reviewed the available output sound devices, I saw that Windows was pointing to the wrong device (RealTek) and when I selected the correct device (Display Audio), audio worked again. Maybe it's a similar situation for you.

    I have the same problem. I’m using an Asus ROG Strix Scar 18 2023 (G834JY), and after the latest 24H2 update, the audio driver got deleted. When I try to reinstall the driver, nothing changes. The issue gets resolved when I roll back to the 23H2 update, but I want to stay on the latest version.

    You said: "Expand the Sound, video and game controllers" but that not in the list after installning w11 h2

    Other solution please, when is the fix ready I DO NOT want to be forced to a computer with no sound!
