Need fix for lost audio from update to Windows 24H2

I updated to Windows 24H2. I have now lost all of my audio. When I hover my mouse over the sound icon in the tray, it shows that "No audio device is installed". How do I fix this?

    I can't off-hand recall all the steps I had to take even though I've had to have Microsoft do it several times over the years. Start with the microsoft.com support and select the device you need support for. From there you may be tossed around until you luck out and get to a chat feature. You need to have the QuickAssist function in your laptop. It's brought up by entering the Windows key at the same time as Ctrl and Q. Someone else might know of a faster way of getting the help than I do. Good luck!

    HOw do you get Microsoft to take over your laptop?

    Thanks to you and others who took the time to respond. After messing around for a while, I decided to have Microsoft take over my laptop and fix the problem. I've had to do that more than once for the same reason.

    Are you seeing any Audio inputs and outputs entries in the Device Manager? If yes, then try to Update the driver in the device that should match your audio output.

    If not, you may need to find and install your device driver again.

    I'm not an expert. That's what I would do.
