Need fix for lost audio from update to Windows 24H2

I updated to Windows 24H2. I have now lost all of my audio. When I hover my mouse over the sound icon in the tray, it shows that "No audio device is installed". How do I fix this?

    Hello John and many thanks for the reply. Still no luck I’m afraid.

    I followed your instructions and managed to get some way, up to when you mention rightclick the volume icon on the task bar. At this point I get message “no audio device is installed”.

    I then opened device manager and Reltek Audio was listed (it wasn’t before) but no older drivers were listed.

    I did a restart anyway, but I still get the message “no audio device is installed”.

    I have added some screenshots which I hope will help.

    Hello John

    I have the same Realtek issue withW11. I have followed your suggestion to the point where you say

    Right click the volume icon on the taskbar
    "Select Sounds then click Playback
    Double click your Speakers in the list then select Advanced tab
    Under Exclusive Mode, uncheck both options
    Click Apply then Ok"

    However when I right click the sound icon on the task bar I get the message "no audio device is installed" so I can't proceed any further. Can you help?
