Windows Update says "Get the newer version of Windows to stay up to date. Your version of Windows has reached the end of service". How to update this, if this statement is true?

Here's what to do if you receive this message when you go to Windows Update in your PC settings.

"Get the newer version of Windows to stay up to date. Your version of Windows has reached the end of service".

The message you received is part of a Microsoft scam designed to get you to purchase newer equipment. Don't stand for it! Also support for Windows 10 is ending soon as will support for Windows 11 up to version 22H2.

You can easily install the newer version even if your PC or laptop is deemed unsuitable for the most recent version of Windows 11. I have had to do this to update my version of Windows 11 pro 22H2 today. I was warned to update to the most recent version, but found that the update button didn't work.

Here's how you do it. (Please disconnect your CD/DVD drive if you have one, or this hack won't work.)

1. Download the Windows 11 64 bit ISO from Microsoft by Googling "Download Window 11" . The version you need will be at the bottom of the page. Don't forget to select the 64 bit version and the language version you already have. Wait for the download to complete. It's a large file.2. Check that you have disconnected your CD drive if you have one.3. Click on the downloaded ISO to mount it. This will reveal the virtual CD drive the ISO has been mounted to. It will be something like Drive E or F or H. Take note of it.4. Open up the Command Prompt window. by typing CMD into "Search" down on the left hand side of your desktop window. Click on the app to run it.5. In the black window that opens up, type the name of the drive you noted by typing, for example, "F:" .6. A new command line opens up showing that you are now in that drive. Next to the drive label type "CD sources" .7. A new line opens up showing, for example, "F:\ sources". Type the following exactly, including spaces: "Setupprep.exe /product server". Hit enter. This will initiate the Windows setup programme but bypassing checks on the suitability of your device. Follow the process as you would for any Windows installation.8 In my case, once the installation completed, I was given the option to upgrade to Windows version 24H2.9. Please also note that this hack works for upgrading from Windows 10 to Windows 11 on "unsuitable" devices.Good luck and Illegitimi non carborundum!

its an ongoing issue with windows atm, Microsoft is been a bunch off greedy people . and have cut support across the board for anything later then a i7 core 12900 , were hoping there stop this madness as its unessary and tbh too early to cut these processors from its support, we dont care if it aint supported but you should be allowing us to update to the latets os or pull all older retail versions and and stop it been sold because this is a joke
