Since Windows 11 24H2 update everything runs slow and takes longer to load

The update and install,takes forever. Why in the world,in this day and age,does install and update,take so long?! ****!

As for turning off and turning on stuff,it's the same with mobile companies. Verizon constantly adds games to my phone,without permission. And they try and preach privacy,all while compromising my phone,with these add ons.

Hi Craig - I appreciate and respect your point of view, and I'd like to explain a few things in response.

In the 6 years that I've been a member here; I've only ever made one other such "unhelpful" post. I don't jump on here and post about every frustrating bug that shows up in Windows.

Aside from frustration, one of the reasons I made that post is because I think it's important for other users to see that 24H2 is indeed responsible for the newly introduced performance issues even if they're not a gamer and even if they have a high-end system. Some of the posts / threads I've seen are giving users the impression that the problem is with their system and not the 24H2 update, and I don't think that's fair. Maybe, just maybe, my post might spare someone else some wasted time and extra aggravation.

In response to "with hundreds of teams, and thousands of employees working on Windows systems, I would love to hear how you would resolve the issues with their pacing and release schedule" - I wish I knew how to resolve their issues and schedule. My main suggestion would be proper testing and not ignoring / releasing something that is clearly significantly bugged. Maybe this is easier said than done, but if I had the kind of money and manpower that MS does, I'm pretty sure I'd have a number of developers and engineers on the QC team and would have them dedicated to testing / noticing something like this.

And in response to "If you have new insights, or hardware features you think may be unique to help troubleshoot" - I'm not an engineer nor a developer, much less a part of the Windows Update team, so I'm afraid I wouldn't know how to put the proverbial pin back in the grenade. I don't know of a "hardware feature" that can examine MS's deep code to tell us what could be wrong with 24H2, and I'd think that if one existed then the Windows Update team would have known about it before releasing it.

With that being said, I'm glad that your team has found some remediation methods that are helping you. That does present some hope for organizations like yours.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of "everyday" Windows users who are not IT people, yet are also affected by this just the same, and (IMO) shouldn't have to be given a lengthy set of steps to reverse the very thing that they were told to do regularly in order to keep their PC working properly - Windows Update.

Hi! Besides the fact that everything loads more slowly, the performance of the games has also decreased. For example, on the CS2 benchmark I had 220fps on 23h2, now with 24h2 I have 195fps.
