After Windows 11 24h2 Microphone keeps unmuting whenever application tries accesses mic.

Using an Razer Siren X mic., with dedicated mute button with is a physical switch (but apparently not, at least learned that with newest Windows 11 24h2), even thou I set mic to be muted all the time, if I open Discord/join call/start a video game (with voice chat disabled), anything that asks for accesses to mic., windows switch from muted (red) state to unmuted (green). It's really concerning privacy vise, if any application can unmute mic. on there own (keeping in mind, the button should cut sounds only from mic., side and not on windows), seen some similar problems with some Logitech headsets too.

Windows/applications should never have ability unmute microphone on there own ! I can understand when it's mute/unmute happens inside windows audio control (like Win+alt+K), but take control over physical device shouldn't be allowed in any case

There's some other strange audio related things too, like Steam not having ability to record/stream sound from specific application with the latest win11 24h2 update, looks like what ever 24h2 did with audio back-end is messed up in more then one way.

    Hello,

    Now that it can be assumed that this problem only arose after Windows 11 was updated to 24h2 and that this happened with several different microphone manufacturers, the problem of the automatic activation of the microphone also occurs when you go into the standard Windows sound settings, which means that you can rule out that it is solely due to the manufacturer's drivers.
    By the way, I have also had this problem for a few days, exactly since the point at which I installed the 24H2 update. My mic is a HYPERX Quadcast S.
    In terms of data protection, it is not acceptable if Windows activates microphones at will even though I have muted them.

    Same issue here with my Hyper X mic. Never did this until after updating to 24H2. Mic constantly unmutes itself within minutes of muting it.

    Same problem here, since the latest update my Quadcast S unmutes itself when a join an app that can use the mic, such as Discord or any game.

    Same issue same Mic, started at the moment I Updated to 24h2 and i cant rollback to older Feature Updates. It would be great to get a fix here. Thanks

    I have the same issue, I am using Fifine Ampligame AM8, even I mute my mic with the physical button on the mic it unmutes itself after a while, when I start to watch a video or join a discord voice chat or do something else like jumping from one application to another, etc.

    Mic does not have any specific driver, it is a plug and play mic, uses Microsoft generic microphone drivers.
