ERRROR 0xc1900101 WHILE INSTALLING WIN 11 24H2

I am trying to install the new Windows 11 update from Windows Update, but I keep getting error 0xc1900101 after rebooting.

The installation starts, and after a couple  restarts, it says:

" Attempting to recover installation "

" Undoing changes made to your computer "

And then I am greeted with error 0xc1900101 on Windows Update.

Dear Ramesh,

Thank you for your assistance, you were really helpful.

At a point my pc touch screen stopped responding during the many installation attempts, so didn't know what I had done to cause this. then I decided to clean install, so i chose not to keep my files and settings and it worked.

    Hi Christopher,

    Please clean boot the computer. A clean boot is the process of starting Windows without loading third-party apps and services. Please see this Microsoft article for more information.

    How to perform a clean boot in Windows - Microsoft Support:

    (Step 3 is very important. You need to first enable "Hide all Microsoft Services" before clicking "Disable all".)

    Once done, re-run the Windows 11 setup. Post fresh logs if the setup doesn't succeed.

    Hi Christopher,

    The setup failed in less than 3 minutes, and the data is insufficient for analysis. First, let's remove some third-party drivers from the system.

    1. Please backup the registry using RegBak.
    2. Create a Restore Point.
    3. Run the following fixlist.
    • Download fixlist.txt
    • Save Fixlist.txt to the folder where FRST64English.exe is located.
    • Close all programs.
    • Launch the Farbar Scanner tool and click "Fix".
    • Restart Windows when prompted.
    • Upload the output log file (FixLog.txt) to your OneDrive.

    After the reboot, don't run the setup yet.
