24H2 crashing games - working on a fix?

I wish they would just notify us when it is fixed. I have spoken to others that say winver command shows 24h2 and they are working now. They said they had problems but don't remember how they fixed it.

It fixes temporarily, but eventually freezes again.

Previous windows 11 versions didn't have this problem.

Everything freezes, including sound, something even PC crashes!

Microsoft, fix it, please!

Folks should not assume their hardware is wrong, but all windows wrong. I migrated to Windows 11 Pro as windows 10 was freezing or crashing. Corrupted the OS and files. Ironically one issue turned out for the BSOD, to be faulty GSkill ram, 3 of 4 8gb sticks were bad with minimal use, (clonzilla ripped them apart) with zero gaming use (had a 3 year family related pause). New viper sticks. 4x16, no more blue screen. But windows 10Pro was still freezing in standby, or sleep mode, office docs would save and auto recover etc. Dec 2024, enter windows 11 pro 24h2, zero os crashes, nice fluid, darn taskbar cannot be moved. Installs Steam, 32 bit games, and crashes begin- even , MSCONFIG / control alt delete would show but I could not click. All I could do is log out our restart ending the frozen game screen. I knew right away it is windows and others here said so and I started with a good clean install. Then days ago I install windows 10 Pro 23h something, and no crashes. Games or in OS. Also the previous OS stability issues (the ones that forced me to windows 11) are gone, which tells us how bad things are for windows. OS versions, layered and updating on top of each other, can corrupt the OS leading to unresolvable stability issues. windows 11 pro is more stable but not suitable for gaming esp 24h2. A clean windows 10 Pro installation is super stable. Games only freeze if I take a shortcut to go to desktop but NOT if I click “go to main menu” “exit campaign” then “exit to windows” then steam stops the game. That never fails. But clearly no one knows how long a new ps installation is stable. Why? Well, ask Microsoft. This never happens to me on any mac os version. What is strange is that for 3 years I used my fast computer as word or outlook productivity; no games nothing fancy, and the OS deteriorated with windows updates.. faulty ram aside, the windows internal freezes, where one by one gui features freeze, were OS specific.

interesting as from Windows 10, they now offer Win 11 23H2 as upgrade, not 24H2...
